At the beginning of the AMOR project several industry partners in Austria have been met to discuss current issues in their design process. The most frequently mentioned problem have been EMI and EMC. Especially, the EMC certification was identified as major obstacle. As there was a huge lack of knowledge in this field we decided to analyze EMC tools and evaluated methods to do pre-compliance measurements with low-cost equipment. In the document attached below, the general requirements for such equipment was investigated in terms of hardware and signal processing. In addition, different test-sites have been evaluated. Because of its versatility and fully compliance for small EUTs the focus was put on waveguide based sites, such as TEM cells.
