This report is a case study on the X-parameter modeling technique of the Microwave Office simulator for RF/Microwave circuit design. X-parameters are a nonlinear generalization of the well-known S-parameters. The simulation results are compared with the full Harmonic Balance (HB) distortion analysis. For small-signal distortions the simulation results employing X-parameter modeling are in excellent agreement with HB.
